Christian Persecution

The man sitting on the floor, dressed in white, is a Christian pastor who lives in Syria. In the morning, he went out to preach the Gospel, and when he returned home that afternoon, he found all his children dead, four children murdered by Muslims.

He was asked, before the bodies if he would stop preaching Christ. He replied: “That’s not me. Nobody will silence my voice. Will speak the word of the Lord. More than ever, I proclaim Christ and His Salvation.”

My gut reaction is one of anger and outrage over the cowardly actions of those who profess Islam. But when I let the spirit take control, it moves me to pray for those who are trapped in that false religion of hatred and murder and violence. Love and forgiveness will always prevail.

Mike, I had the same reactions. The fact that so many people are trapped in this false faith is what motivated me to pursue overseas mission trips.
